This 1 day training course introduces simple, safe and effective skills, aiming to provide problem solving tools for simple, common paddling problems that may occur in flat/sheltered water, across a range of paddlesport craft. White Water Safety and Rescue
A training course designed for the paddler who enjoys the white water environment at up to grade 3, in either canoe or kayak. Simple, effective safety and rescue building block skills are taught and learnt practically and applied appropriately in a moderate white water environment. Prevention rather than cure is the key premise of this course and this is based on a foundation of teaching safe paddling strategies. The majority of the course is hands-on, practical, supported by theoretical content where required. Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue
Building on the White Water Safety and Rescue training course principles, we take your skills to the Advanced White Water environment. Further development of the team approach, your skills, the kit and your experience to help deal with an emergency situation, is the key to this course. Holistic approaches utilising the core skills combined with creativity, draw out your ability to manage Advanced Water paddling safety and rescues. Again, we choose to utilise a highly practical approach topped up with theory and further learning opportunities as you require them.
