2020 White Water Development School - West Coast Scotland
An exciting week of white water river paddling and learning, based on the west coast of Scotland where a plethora of watery goodness awaits. During our time here we will be running a number of options for you, including a skills week, white water leader courses, advanced white water leader courses and safety and rescue courses. Something for everyone. During the skills week there is the option to undertake British Canoeing Personal Performance courses and awards. You choose your accommodation and we meet each day at a central location. White Water school - £450 per person

For the experienced white water paddler looking to lead friends, club paddlers and clients on moderate white water up to grade 3, then this award is for you. British Canoeing's pathway currently consists of a training course, a white water safety and rescue course and an assessment. We run all three courses in either integrated form or split, leaving you to choose when to train and when to complete the assessment. We run these courses in North Wales, Scotland, the Alps and further afield if requested, such as the US and Asia. |

Advanced White Water Kayak Leader courses
This award is for the experienced Leader looking to progress to the top of their leadership game where they can lead friends, club paddlers and clients on Advanced white water to any grade commensurate with the paddling team's abilities. This award is as much about judgement as it is about paddling skills. Your experience of judging a participant's anxiety level is one of your biggest talents at this level, because it will mean the difference between a successful descent or some very hard chase boating work for you. British Canoeing's pathway currently consists of a training course, an advanced white water safety and rescue course and an assessment.
