Intro Sea Kayak Course
Do you want to begin to see our magnificent coastline from a unique perspective?
This course is for you. Experience Sea Kayaking and go explore.
A small instructor to student ratio allows our experienced instructors to coach and guide you on the journey of taking your first salty Sea Kayak strokes.
You will be introduced to basic sea kayak handling and rescue skills in the coastal waters of North Wales and Anglesey. Tides, planning a coastal journey, paddling and sea safety will be introduced to you. The exact venue will depend on the weather conditions.
Itinerary
Day 1
Basic sea kayak handling, introducing applicable strokes, basic tide understanding and simple Sea Kayak rescues.
Day 2
Another coastal journey, basic planning and weather forecasting and a review of basic strokes.
If the weather or conditions on the sea are bad we will find sheltered areas to continue the training wherever possible.
You can also undertake a British Canoeing Personal Performance Award during this course if you choose. Further information can be found here.

If you have a little experience of Sea Kayaking and want more, we have just the thing to tickle your fancy. Come along and improve your skills and exploring beyond just the course. This will inspire you to look for your own trips and improve your confidence and knowledge.
A small instructor to student ratio allows our experienced instructors to coach and guide you as you develop and improve.
Lets develop your Sea Kayak handling skills, experience and knowledge whilst journeying in the world class coastal waters of Anglesey and North Wales.
We want to help you build your ability to do your own Sea Kayak journeys and planning; navigation, weather forecasting and safety as well as playing in your sea kayak.

Day 2
Planning and undertaking another coastal journey, handling the water conditions and sea states, navigation, rescues, towing and strokes.
