2021 Sea Kayak Leader Development School - Anglesey
An exciting month of sea kayaking development for you as a Leader or Advanced Leader. Paddling and learning, based on Anglesey where we have an abundance of Sea Kayaking venues at our fingertips, we cater for your development, building experience, enhance your skills and progressing to confirmation of your leadership abilities. We will spend the weekdays, Monday to Friday paddling as part of the organised programme, whilst weekends are your own to either rest, do something different, explore or join us if we are running other courses for some free experience as an observer or mock student. We will be running a number of options for you, including a skills development, logbook days, personal coaching, leadership and navigation courses at both moderate and advanced levels, and if applicable to your needs, we can conduct coach training courses as part of the programme if you have the pre-requisites already. If there is something specific you would like to attain during the month with us that isn't listed above, please contact us and discuss your specific requirements with us. Something for everyone is what we hope to offer. During the development school there is the option to undertake British Canoeing Personal Performance courses and awards as well as the leadership courses. You choose your accommodation and we meet each day at a central location. The school will need minimum numbers to run successfully. Sea Kayak Leader Development School - £2100 per person, you will also receive 10% discount on the cost of one of our UK Sea Kayak trips or expeditions.

Sea Kayak Leader courses.
For the experienced Sea Kayak paddler looking to lead friends, club paddlers and clients on moderate sea conditions, then this award is for you. British Canoeing's pathway currently consists of a training course, a Coastal Navigation course and an assessment. We run all three courses in either integrated form or split, leaving you to choose when to train and when to complete the assessment. We run these courses in Wales, England, Scotland, Europe and further afield if requested, such as the US and Asia. Training: £180 per person

Advanced Sea Kayak Kayak Leader courses
This award is for the experienced Leader looking to progress to the top of their leadership game where they can lead friends, club paddlers and clients in Advanced sea conditions commensurate with the paddling team's abilities. This award is as much about judgement as it is about paddling skills. Your experience of judging a participant's anxiety level is one of your biggest talents at this level, because it will mean the difference between a successful journey or paddling session or hard work for you. British Canoeing's pathway currently consists of a training course, an Open Water Navigation course and an assessment. We run all three courses in either integrated form or split, leaving you to choose when to train and when to complete the assessment. The integrated 5 day training course will cover: BC Open Water Navigation & Tidal Planning training BC Advanced Sea Kayak Leader Training Optional assessment for the BC Advanced Sea Kayak Personal Performance Award (PPA) Paddler development We run these courses in Wales, England, Scotland, Europe and further afield if requested, such as the US and Asia.
