Mountain Leader
Mountain Leader Training Courses are designed to facilitate the development of Summer Mountain Leaders as they prepare themselves to take others into the Mountains of the UK for day walks or overnight camping expeditions in Summer conditions.
The courses cover the syllabus laid down by UK Mountain Training and looks at Leadership, Navigation, Campcraft, Safety, Weather, Planning and a whole host of other related topics important for working as a Mountain Leader.
Candidates must have registered with the Mountain Training England or Cymru (Wales), have a current and up to date logbook and be physically fit to participate in the 6 day training course or 5 day assessment.

Climbing Wall Instructor
Climbing Wall Instructor courses are designed to facilitate the development of Climbing Instructors in the UK who operate at climbing walls. They provide bottom and top rope sessions as well as abseil sessions. They have been trained and assessed to conduct the types of sessions they would usually provide for groups looking to undertake climbing.
We at AcwaTerra provide both the training and assessment phases of the award scheme. The Training course is 2 days and both days will be spent at the climbing wall. The assessment course is 2 days in duration.
