SUP Guide Development Workshop
A 2 day development course for SUP'ers and Paddlers who have already attended the Adventure, Explorer or Expedition Guide training or who want additional info for helping to plan and execute their own trips. This development course will be 1 day in the classroom learning and enhancing navigational knowledge and practical application of maps, nautical charts, guidebooks and nautical resources and how to incorporate them into planning trips for your respcetive award level and beyond. This will be the first day. Part of the day will be spent looking at the weather and trip options for the second day and how to go about practically planning that trip. This element will count towards the WSA Navigation course and will be certified as such. The second day will be a trip at logbook and award standard, exploring remit and skills along the way, possibly some rescue and scenario practice thrown in for good measure. The course content days can be taken independently of each other. That is, you can choose to attend the first or second day as stand alones or as a whole integrated package. |

Forward Paddling Technique Workshop
Two of these will take place on the same day, one in the morning between 0930 and 1200 and the second at 1330 until 1600. A 2.5 hour taster workshop to give paddlers, coaches and athletes a chance to gain some input into their forward paddling technique. The aim is to provide improved efficiency, better performance and energy conservation along with more power/speed/distance per stroke. There will some video recording, coaching and analysis of your stroke during the workshop. This is a taster workshop that will lead the way for further workshops such as Race Training workshops. Price is per person.

Race Training Workshop
A 2 day workshop to give paddlers, coaches and athletes the opportunity to learn how to get the most from their forthcoming season. The concept of this workshop is to gain ideas and input into how to plan their training year and undertake training sessions to understand where they fit in to the whole scheme. The aim is to provide training efficiency, better planning, periodisation and session construction, tapering and peaking for performance along with technique development. There will some video recording, coaching and analysis of your stroke during the workshop. It will be based in North Wales and will make the best of the available conditions during the workshop. There will be practical and theoretical, dry land and water based sessions. Price per person - £200 |

Navigation Workshop
A 1 day workshop that is of benefit to the adventurous SUP'er who is looking at longer journeys on bigger lakes, coastal journeys and moving water adventures. We will use a variety of maps and charts to plan a number of adventures, calculate tidal speeds and flow directions, interpret weather and consider the use of electronic navigation aids. Useful also to those enrolled on the WSA Adventure, Explorer and Expedition Guide scheme and can be used as CPD. Price is per person.

A 1 day workshop that is of benefit to the adventurous SUP'er who is looking at longer journeys and how to plan open crossings, downwind trips or wind against tide adventures. We will use a variety of maps and charts to plan a number of adventures, calculate tidal speeds and flow directions, interpret weather and consider the use of electronic navigation aids. Useful also to those enrolled on the WSA Explorer or Expedition Guide scheme. Price is per person. |
